Byzantine Necklace - 24 Gauge

Sterling silver Byzantine necklace, consisting of jump rings hand woven into an intricate and stately design that incorporates a rope-like texture with an organic feel. 

This necklace is made with 24*gauge wire and has wonderful movement. Despite it's delicate size, the necklace still has a lovely weight to it. Great for everyday wear, or on an evening out.

It is 18 inches long and finished with a standard Spring-Ring clasp

* A wires gauge is the diameter of the wire. The higher the number of the gauge, the thinner the wire.

I open, interlink, and close all the rings by hand. This particular piece took close to 7 hours to complete and has nearly 900 links.
