Artemis Orchid Earrings

Sterling silver orchid earrings with moonstone drops hanging from a delicate silver chain.

Artemis, Goddess of the hunt and wild animals, was also associated heavily with the moon and water. Artemis supervised waters and lush wild growth, attended by nymphs of wells and springs, and was closely associated with Poseidon God of the Sea

These earrings were made by hand sawing out 3 separate layers of petals from a sheet of sterling silver. The petals were then shaped and formed before being soldered together. A dainty silver chain with a moonstone dangle hangs from the bottom petals.

A post was soldered to each and they come with heavy weight friction backs for added security.

Each orchid is 12mm tall, with the chain and moonstone dangle adding a further 25mm.

* As all components of the orchids have been made by hand there will be some variation between pieces however, I strive to make the pieces as uniform and cohesive as possible.
